Poetry Friday: Elle of Joy

Elle of Joy

In the tranquil scene,
she leaps in and out of my
frame with shots of joy.

Blink Sweetens the Street Team Deal!

Lorie Ann Grover STREET TEAM

Lorie Ann Grover STREET TEAM by lorieanngrover on Polyvore

Here's a recap, if you are interested in being on the Street Team:
First off, email me at lorieanngrover(at)clearwire(dot)net with the subject: “Street Team.” Please include your full name, address, city, state and zip code.
Before the release of Hit on October 7th, you will receive (while supplies last):
—Access to a NetGalley version of Hit for your e-reader (preferred) or one of up to 100 printed Advanced Reading Copies—for Team members in the USA.
Note: NetGalley can transmit to an e-reader, run through a free Kindle app on your computer, or be accessed through your smart phone.
—2 posters—1 for you and 1 for a local bookstore.
Expectations:
—Be sure you are up-to-speed on Goodreads, Twitter, and Facebook.
—Like my author Facebook page and follow me on Twitter and Instagram.
—Be ready to post a review on the Amazon, B&N, and Goodreads.com product pages as soon as they allow you to do so. (I’ll let you know when you can!)
—For a review, think 3-5 sentences of what you liked best about the book. No need to summarize, just be careful not to leak spoilers of what happened. :) Feel free to copy and paste your review to all three sites.
—Facebook-share and tweet about Hit in September and October.
—Take posters to a local bookstore and library, share the love, and ask them to order the book.

AND THEN THERE ARE PRIZES, THANKS TO BLINK! Woot! Listen to what they have to say!
NOTE: YOU MUST BE ONE OF THE FIRST 100 TO SUBMIT NOTICE OF REVIEWS ON ALL SITES TO RECEIVE THE PRIZES.
Once you’ve done EVERYTHING, email lorieanngrover(at)clearwire(dot)net again, with the subject: “Street Team Review,” with your user name on each site and date you submitted the reviews. When Lorie Ann hears from you, we’ll send you the following prizes:
—Signed finished copy of Hit hot off the press
—A copy of Firstborn, her first book with Blink YA Books up for the Kirkus Prize
—10 bookmarks to hand out to friends
—A Blink YA Books T-shirt

Is that not the best? So now you have the skinny. I hope you have time to join my Street Team. I’d love to have you and would really appreciate your support. Thanks for thinking it over! Happy reading!

An Open Call: Lorie Ann Grover STREET TEAM

Lorie Ann Grover STREET TEAM

In anticipation of the upcoming release of my next young adult novel, HIT, I thought to create a Street Team to help with this celebration and future ones. Here's what I'm thinking regarding the offer and  responsibilities.

Offer
1. Prior to the book's release, you'd receive an advance reader copy.
2. The publisher, Blink Young Adult Books, would mail you bookmarks and possibly posters.
3. I would share with you the trailer, excerpts, or answer interview questions if you have a blog and would like me to guest post.

Responsibilities for Launch
1. After reading the work, you'd post a review at Goodreads and Amazon.
2. You'd visit your local bookstores, offer the poster and bookmarks, and request the book to be in stock.
3. On the launch day, you'd tweet and post a facebook status.
4. You'd share content, such as a trailer, or tour schedule as it becomes available.

There could be other special opportunities: to meet as I tour, have me join your book club via Skype, or interview me for your local school or city newspaper.

If you dig my novels and this idea seems like fun, jot me an email at lorieanngroveratclearwiredotnet with the heading: Street Team. I'd love to add you. Your support would be so valuable to me! Thanks for considering it. Hope to hear from you!

Poetry Friday: Sold

Sold

In this space, children
grew and flew; spouses whirled love.
We each say goodbye.
