I tested myself to write a haiku that's been sweeping through my thoughts. Here it is:
Shivering
Hunched on icy lines
spiders curl into cold balls
frosted until dawn
spiders curl into cold balls
frosted until dawn
Hm. Maybe the On the Spot Writing is going to need Saturday Revision.
No revision necessary: it's perfect! I saw one this morning that looked just that, too, poor thing.
ReplyDeleteYou totally encourage my words, Laurie! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Makes me think of little spider cakes, until I see a sad little frozen one outside.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Laurie and Holly. Did you happen to write this a few days ago when we woke up to frost? Maybe one of these days I'll join in the Poetry Friday fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is a sharp enough image to make me shiver! Good job.
