Poetry Friday: In Hope, Polyester
I've been busy researching and writing so my blog is skinny! How about you?
But all things have to stop for Poetry Friday! These two haiku popped out this morning for this photo of me as a child. Two very different directions...

Poetry Friday: Hidden in the Sweetness
Beware. On every
plate of sweetness, there is one
that will bite you back.

From Mr. Spock to Captain Kirk: ISFJ
Okay, I'm trying to get my head around my new personality result: ISFJ. Somehow I've morphed from an ISTJ. I'm attributing the slide to having children and working with readergirlz.
"ISFJs are traditional, loyal, quiet and kind. They are very sensitive to other people's needs because they are very observant. They have rich inner thoughts and emotions. They value stability and cultural norms. They are very adept at giving attention to detail. They do not seek positions of authority." My Personality Info
So, the biggest bummer is that I am no longer like Mr. Spock. I am now like William Shatner. Okay, that's William NOT actually Captain Kirk. Thankfully. I could never wear those tight pants.
On the plus side, I match Louisa May Alcott. But also I could gag over being matched with Melanie Hamilton in Gone With the Wind and Ophelia in Hamlet. Seriously?
My only comfort right now is matching Martha Brockenbrough. She totally rocks. So, there is hope.
But I just may have to take the test again. I really did like matching Spock...

The Perfect Party: rgz and Dr. Cullen!
Okay, this just rocks my stripey socks!
Seattle Metropolitan said this in The Perfect Party article:
Seattle Metropolitan said this in The Perfect Party article:
"Here’s who we’d invite if we could entertain this month’s most interesting visitors, locals, and newsmakers.
PETER FACINELLI“Dr. Carlisle Cullen” of the Twilight movies headlines at TwiCon, a convention for fans of the teen vampire saga. We hope there’s no sunshine in the forecast. (Westin Hotel, Jan 15—17)
THE LADIES OF READERGIRLZ.COM
The Seattle young–adult fiction writers’ collective got a nod from the National Book Awards in November—without penning a single teen vampire book."
WOOT! HOW COOL IS THAT? Others listed included my fav baseball legend Edgar Martinez. So thank you, Seattle Metropolitan! We'd so like to party with you!
