Haven't posted in the Rheumatoid Factor since September, so now seems a good time. After 14 years of focusing on my bones and rheumatoid arthritis, lupus is flaring and inflaming my tendons. Two doctors and one occupational therapist have said, "I've never seen anything like this before..."
So back to the interweb to educate myself. Reading about lupus, reading about splenomegaly (enlarged spleen), low lymphocites and high neutrophils. There's so much to understand in order to redefine normal.
I'm thankful, thankful, thankful for my occupational therapist, who would be asking right now if I'm icing between paragraphs. She thought to try this amazing kinesio tex tape. It covers each tendon and pulls the skin away so the synovial fluid can flow more easily. Translation: YAY! I feel like a pink Terminator.
As the weeds grow, and the car sits more frequently in the driveway, as I ask for more help, I know there will be good to be found. Maybe even someone else will be helped by this tape. Now, off for the ice!
