Poetry Friday: Two Haiku, At a Respectable Age and One Star Review

At a Respectable Age

Age covers beauty:
in wrinkled skin, tusks poised to
lower or thrust through.

~and~

One Star Review

My wrinkled eyelid
judges, assesses, and deems
you worth one trumpet.

What fun! Getting one trumpet sounds very damning indeed...

Creepy picture, but I love the haiku. One trumpet. Ha! Maybe just a snort.

Here's to thrusting through old age!! No lowered head for me, in spite of wrinkles that might make me worthy of only one trumpet!
