Poetry Friday: Aspen

Aspen

I am
a white aspen
in a
crooked canyon.
Dew
sprinkled leaves
clattering
with delight.
Deep holes
of mystery
at my root.
Branches ringed
with
the weight
of thought.
Trunk
curling and twisting
yet
reaching
finger branches
to
the
spiral dawn.

L, that's really lovely. I didn't know you were also a poet!

I'm SO SORRY!!
I've been trying to email you, and I deeply apologize for the weirdness with my email program. It WILL NOT apparently reach you, no matter what, and I don't know why; I've emailed and emailed! I don't know what's up!!! I copied Justina on the first email, and finally sent a note to Sarah with my reply, but I have to turn you down -- with huge regrets!! Hope she gets the note to you soon.

Beautiful, Lorie Ann, I can see this with my eyes closed and your words in my mind.

And Tanita, I have trouble sometimes with Ms. Grover's email, too. It's very protective of her!
