Poetry Friday: Plumeria

Plumeria

In my memory,
the scent swirls around the curl
of our shared laughter.

Poetry Friday: Book Birth

Book Birth

Cracking from my black
crust, words brim, bubble, and boil
onto my paper.

I took this photo on the Big Island. It was glorious to see at my feet!

Poetry Friday: Barely Balanced

Barely Balanced

Walking the edge of
wind, waves, and cloud, teetering
on the swirl of change.

Poetry Friday: Red-Hearted Winter

Red-Hearted Winter

In these dark, windblown
days, Hawaii is a rich
red heart in my own.

Poetry Friday: Double Hearts

Double Hearts

One heart willingly
set inside another for
a life together.

I've been in Hawaii celebrating my 25th anniversary with my hubbie! More posts soon.

However,
* I found this rock,
* set it inside a heart-shaped space
* while listening in and dancing to another happy couple's wedding reception music
* as Dave and I watched our first sunset on the the Big Island.

Sweet love.
